Morrow and AppLaunch join forces to redefine app development for 2023
Founders Tom and Charles share what the merger means for Morrow.
Morrow Digital, a React Native specialist development agency, has finalised a merger with AppLaunch, a fellow Bristol app dev agency focused on early-stage startups.
Oliver Edis, founder and Managing Director of AppLaunch, and his small but talented team have been integrating into the Morrow team over the past six months.
Oli joins the board at Morrow and will continue as Managing Director, overseeing operations and delivery across both brands.
Morrow CEO and co-founder Tom Riglar commented:
"AppLaunch has an excellent reputation in the South West for serving the region's early-stage startups. Oli and his team are exceptionally customer-focused and diligent in their approach, with quality apps such as Dooo in their client roster.
Oli's expertise in helping founders build their first minimum viable product slots well into Morrow's scale-focused development services for established apps. This merger will allow us to provide more resounding support to our clients regardless of where they are in their business growth journey."
The Bristol tech ecosystem enables collaboration
The founders first met after sharing office space at Boxworks office space located next to Engine Shed.
Charles Killer, Morrow's CTO and co-founder, remembers their first meeting well:
"Tom and I have met a lot of app developers, but Oli impressed us from day one. So when we started exploring merger opportunities a year later, AppLaunch was the obvious choice."
2023 and beyond
AppLaunch and Morrow will become sister brands, with the former focusing on early-stage MVP builds and the latter on scaleup and longevity projects.
Oliver Edis, Morrow MD, shares his vision:
"I’m honoured that Tom and Charles chose to merge with AppLaunch. Bringing together AppLaunch’s expertise in building robust MVPs and Morrow’s proven track record in scaling software post MVP and beyond is a very exciting opportunity. Our new combined firm is now set up better than ever to enable our clients to realise their visions while tackling their technical challenges as they grow.
Over the next year or two, we’re also looking to bring new offerings and tools to help those early-stage products go from idea to app even quicker while maintaining the engineering excellence required to scale later down the line."
With support from Tom and Charles, Oli will continue to lead the combined team of 15 and serve the whole client roster.
