De La Rue

With over two centuries spent enabling secure trade, DeLaRue is a household name known for supporting governments, central banks, and businesses in 140 countries. With a broad range of products and services, DeLaRue’s impact spans supply-chain-securing solutions, counterfeit prevention, enforcement enablement through software, and more. In a nutshell: DeLaRue is one of the most critical actors in the flow of commerce today.

The Solution: Expert AR app, built to time and budget

The DeLaRue team decided to build their application with React Native, Expo, and ReactVision’s Viro library. This was to secure an iOS and Android application with AR capabilities on a single code base, to allow DeLaRue to reduce development time and costs.

However, DeLaRue lacked the depth of technical expertise needed to bring its vision to life and needed an agency partner who intimately understood the tech stack in the broader context of AR and VR technologies.

As leaders in React Native, Expo, and ReactVision Viro, the Morrow team quickly dove into development, to deliver a performant AR application that would heavily contribute to DeLaRue’s augmented-reality-focused campaign.

Why Morrow?

While React Native is our bread and butter, virtual and augmented reality applications are our passion. As React Native has evolved, so has its ability to make virtual and augmented use cases a reality.

Despite the sector’s heyday being in its infancy, we’ve quickly built a reputation as the go-to developers for AR/VR applications with React Native. We’re key contributors to ReactVision’s Viro library, Expo experts, and augmented reality experts when it comes to React Native development.

A cutting-edge cross-platform application

Thanks to our advanced knowledge of AR technologies, React Native and Expo, we equipped DeLaRue with a fully cross-platform AR mobile application. The application was delivered on time, within budget, and on one codebase - dramatically reducing DeLaRue’s overall project costs.

Despite this reduction, no compromises were made on performance, with the application seamlessly connecting users with an augmented perspective of DeLaRue’s newest advances in banknote security.

Further developments on the horizon

DeLaRue’s creativity has, in many respects, set the pace of innovation for its sector. Its AR application has connected customers to the next wave of banknote security, in a new and exciting way that cements the firm’s reputation as a true tech disruptor.

So, what’s next for DeLaRue?

Following its successful step into the world of AR, one thing’s for certain: the future of finance will be cutting-edge at its core.
